Michael Van Duinen graduated from Columbia University in 2021 with a B.A. in Chemistry and a concentration in Mathematics. He was awarded department honors and the 2021 Chandler Society Award by the Columbia Chemistry Department. While at Columbia, his research under Professor Latha Venkataraman involved working with STM-BJ experiments using silver and later involved computational modeling of electron transport through alkanes in single molecule junctions. He started with the Voth group in July 2021 working with room temperature ionic liquids.”
