Grace received B.Sc. in chemistry from University of Chinese Academy of Sciences (UCAS) in June 2018. At UCAS, under Prof. Anmin Cao supervision, she worked on the synthesis and characterization of lithium-sulfur batteries.  She also worked with Prof Zongxiu Nie on the study of fragmentation of multiply charged protein ions by MALDI-TOF/TOF mass spectrometry. In winter quarter 2017, she worked with Prof. Norbert Scherer at the University of Chicago on simulating the transport behavior of insulin-containing granule in beta cells.

Currently, she is enrolled in the University of Chicago Chemistry doctoral program and joined the Voth group in the Fall of 2018. She is now working on the mechanism of the proton transport in biomolecular systems.
